MULTIPLAZA

I can't believe I haven't blog about one of my favorite places in Panama.... Multiplaza Pacific Mall its the biggest mall in Panama. My mom, my sister and me go like 2 times a week!! I also go with my friends when we have nothing better to do. There are many restaurants and places to hang out at night.

Here is a pic of me and 2 friends like 4 years ago I think...

Magical Food

Hello Passengers,

Food is an important aspect of travel- because when you travel, you still have to eat. Disneyland Resort has some of the best food and I would like to share a few restaurants and eateries with you.

Storytellers Cafe- It is a great place for breakfast, lunch or dinner and is located at the Grand California Hotel. I recommend going for breakfast because they offer a character breakfast. You can grab some food and take pictures with Disney Characters. This restaurant puts a Disney twist on their food. My brother usually gets the mickey mouse waffles. They even make my coffee look like mickey.

Pooh's Corner- is located next to Splash Mountain and is the perfect place for a sweet treat. It has delicious cookies, Carmel apples, brownies and chocolate covered marshallows. My favorite is the white chocolate cookie. I get is every time I go to Disneyland....yum!

Toworrowland Terrance- Located across from Finding Nemo ride is a great place for lunch. It has burgers, salads, sandwiches, a little something for everyone. It also serves breakfast if you want to grab a quick bite in the morning. I like their parfaits.

Stage Door Cafe- Best Chicken Nuggets ever!!!!!

Wine Country Trattoria at Golden Vine Winery- Located in California Adventures. Amazing Italian food and nice place to relax. I like to eat dinner there and let my feet relax.

There are several other amazing places to eat at Disneyland and I can not list them all. Look at the dining website for more options.

Random Facts about Disneyland

Hello Passengers,

Since I am very knowledgeable about Disneyland, I like to share some interesting and random facts about the park to make your trip more enjoyable.

1.) Disneyland opened in 1955 and was a disaster. The pavement was still wet and temperature was over 100 degrees

2.) There is no gum sold in the park because Walt Disney did not want gum to be spit on the ground in the park

3.) The bricks on the castle get smaller, as they getter higher to make the castle look taller

4.) Each land has a different style trash can

5.) Matterhorn has a half sized basketball court and mini pool inside

6.) Walt Disney used in live in the Mainstreet Firehouse. The light is left on today in his remembrance

7.) The Snow White and seven dwarfs statues by the wishing well are the small height. Walt just put Snow White higher on the hill to make her look taller.

8.) There are several hidden mickeys located in the rides and other attractions around the resort. You can purchase a Hidden Mickey Book for clues where the mickeys are hidden.

9.) Tomorrowland is set to represent the future as the perceived it would look like in 1986, the year of Hailey's Comet.

10.) Club 33 is a private club above Blue Bayou Restaurant in New Orleans Square. It takes years on the waiting list to get in the club and it is the only place that serves alcohol in the park.

Now next time you go to Disneyland, look for the hidden mickeys and the other facts I have mentioned.

Makapu'u Tidepools

This is one of my favorite places to go.  If it wasn't so hard to get to, I would be there all the time.  However, if it was that easily accessible, it would be crowded all the time as well.  Makapu'u Tidepools is something all the locals know about, but only go once in a while due to the conditions to get there.  Basically, you hike up the mountain as if you were going to the Makapu'u Lighthouse, and almost to the top, you take a detour and scale down the mountain-side.  Once you hit the bottom, there are these wonderful tidepools where you can just relax and play.  Sometimes, when the waves are big enough, the blow holes are shooting water and mist into the air.  It is a pretty hard thing to find mostly due to the fact only locals seem to go there, but if you can figure it out, I would definitely recommend it.
This is what it looks like midway up.
Here are some views on the hike down.

This is the destination.

Ohh Carmel by- the-sea

Hello everybody!
This past weekend, my friends and I decided we wanted to take a little trip. We wanted to go somewhere that would be fun and relaxing. I wanted to get off campus, as they did too. One of my friends suggested that we make a day trip to Carmel. This was an excellent plan because not only was it beautiful out, we had been wanting to dip our toes in the water for a while now. The feeling of wet sand on my body was something I had been craving for a while now. After we figured out who was going to drive and such, we made a trip to Safeway for some snacks.
Carmel is about two hours away from Santa Clara, but it does not seem like it if you have good company, some good music, and snacks. The drive was nice, and not too difficult. The sun was out, and the grass on the mountains looked very green. Once we arrived, we found a parking lot to park and unload... (this was a mistake). We thought the beach would be a lot closer than it was, but it was much farther away. We were tired from walking uphill, but thankfully, we were able to joke about it later. There is parking right next to the beach, and places closer by but we made a mistake by parking in a parking lot. So, for all of you visiting Carmel, make sure you drive up to the beach and see if there is anything closer.
Finally, we arrived at the beach, and it was one of the most calming experiences ever. Most people say that there is a lot to do, and they are right. But we decided to spend the day on the beach with beach towels, a football, a radio, and with the water right at our feet. It was amazing.
After this very long and stressful week, it was nice to take a nap to the sound of the waves crashing against the shore. I went into the beach a few times, and spent most of my time in the water, but I was able to get a nice tan too. Even though we did not do much, it was nice to just RELAX. In college, I don't get much time to relax, therefore this was a very special treat.
I enjoyed my time, and I would love to have this opportunity more often. We took snacks to the beach, and played in the sun all day. I would love to go back soon.

The Happiest Place on Earth

Hello Passengers,

Disneyland is a great place to travel to, for both the young and the old. Disneyland is a place where families can come together and older people can relive their childhood memories. I have an annual place to Disneyland and go quite often. One of the reasons, I love to go is that I love the rides, the food, Disney movies and the atmosphere the park gives off. When I go to Disneyland, I feel like I am kid again and it gives off a carefree feeling. I feel like all my problems and worries don't exist anymore. All I have to focus on is the moment. In fact it is said that one can't seem the outside world while in Disneyland Park. Therefore, the outside doesn't exist while you are at Disneyland. One you need to focus on is the moment and the happiness.
Disneyland can be expensive, but there are many ways to save money while going on this trip. The park offers many special offers to customers wanting to go to the park. They sometimes have a 2fer deal where one can buy a ticket for both parks. They would go to Disneyland Park one day and California Adventures the next day. This ticket is usually cheaper than a park hopper and allows the guest to experience both parks. Buying an annual pass is another way to save money while going to Disneyland. With the pass, one can go to the park multiple times and get discounts on food and shopping in the park, as well as discounts on Disneyland Hotels. The Annual Pass can either be payed for at full or by increments every month. Either way, the Annual Pass is a great investment. Click here to find out more about the special offers Disneyland has and click here for more on the annual pass.
After looking at these options, I hope you can find a means to get to Disneyland. It is a vacation worth the finance. The rides, food, music and just the atmosphere will help forget about your worries and remember the carefree moments of your childhood, where you wished upon a star.

Happy Travels,
Amy

Hanauma Bay

One of my favorite things to do at the beach is snorkeling, and the most famous place to go on Oahu would be Hanauma Bay, which is located on the east side.  When entering Hanauma Bay, everyone is required to watch an informational video about the bay and way to preserve it.  Although at times it seems like a waste of time, it actually really helps to protect the wildlife.  Once the video is over, you take a short hike down a hill to get to the beach.  You can either rent a snorkel, goggle, and fins, or bring your own.  Once you have all of your gear on, you’re ready to get in the water!
One unique quality of Hanauma Bay is that the fishes are not usually scared of you.  They are used to the millions of tourists swimming in the water year round.  With that in mind, once you stick your head underwater, you can see all sorts of fishes.  The bay is a pretty big area, so when I visit I usually only explore one side of it at a time.  My favorite thing to see is these giant parrot fishes.  They are about the size of a 13” MacBook or bigger.  They are so pretty and come in various colors.  Also, it's really cool when a school of fishes swim right by you, and sometimes, if you're lucky, you'll even run into a sea turtle!

Besides the snorkeling, around the beach there are grassy patches so it is a nice place to picnic and just enjoy the Hawaii weather.  Like most beaches, showering facilities are provided along with areas to change.
Although this area is a little far from where most tourists reside on their visit, there are many tour buses and shuttles that come out to this side of the island.  Just around the corner from Hanauma Bay are a few local favorite spots such as Sandy Beach, Makapu’u Beach, Makapu’u Lighthouse, Makapu’u tide pools, and Alan Davis.  I will further elaborate on these spots in the next few posts.
